The fully automated high throughput lab boasts of some of the most advanced technologies such as the in Hematology department  the latest six-part-differential machine – the first of its kind in India; that counts 50,000 WBCs as compared to 8000 WBCs in older machines & gives the most accurate platelet counts which make a stark difference in conditions like Dengue fever  & Leukemia

 

Research and Development

The Research and Development unit   continually applies contemporary knowledge and technologies to develop accurate in-house tests, especially in cutting-edge PCR based Molecular Diagnostics, to make them available at affordable costs to all sections of society in the shortest possible time.

 

Sample Handling and Distribution

 The automated pneumatic tube system, India’s biggest, helps  avoid  ‘traffic jams’ and further minimizes errors.

 

Processes and Protocols

The lab has an extensive data management system to connect with Dr Lal PathLabs’ 70 labs spread nationwide. Apart from maintaining patient records, the system simplifies patient registration in the system  and informs the Rohini lab  by e-mail much before the  actual arrival of the sample.
